In late 2624, the Kethlan system was visited by a small fleet led by Elliott Parks, who had come in search of Jason Zackaria. It was the first time that the any non-Pandoran had been to the Kethlan system in over seven years.

It was discovered that the system was filled with tens of thousands of starships (including starfighters, frigates, battleships, dreadnoughts, carriers and landers), all waiting to jump out of the system and join the main Pandoran fleet. The occupants of the ships were all dead, the Pandoran soldiers having died as a result of the malfunctioning nanobots within them. Noting some UNF vessels amongst their numbers, Parks and Vincent Lovejoy chose to tow some of the craft back to Sol with them.

After the end of the war, many of the fleeing Pandorans returned to the Kethlan system to await further instructions. However, most perished from the degenerative effects of the malfunctioning nanomachines, adding to the number of floating warships in orbit around the planet Kethlan, leading to little work during the allied forces' mop-up process.
