Having been conquered years earlier by the Pandoran army, Kethlan was occupied by many soldiers. When Parks' fleet arrived in the Kethlan system and approached the planet itself, it was discovered that the malfunctioning Pandoran soldiers were fighting amongst themselves.

Kethlan was in the grip of one of the harshest winters of recent years, temperatures dropping to -24c during the night.

Upon exploring the planet, Dodds, Enrique and Chaz found that the turf war was centred around the Imperial palace. Many of the notable buildings had suffered damage during the fight, however, and much of the electricity was out. It was discovered that, having taken the planet, the Senate had removed Emperor Adam's statue, as well as the plaque commemorating him, from the Chamber of the Great Servant.

Jason Zackaria had been known to be returning regularly to the planet, towards the end of the war, attempting to contact the Senate and discover what their plans were after Sol had been taken.
