Peri
Peri is approximately Earth-sized and contained a natural atmosphere. Many of the world's continents had been consumed by desert and there was no life to be found, even in the oceans.
A small planet in the Darlon system, within Confederation space. An abundance of cave networks (many claimed to be non-natural) as well as recently identified bacteria have made it popular with researchers and the site of archaeological dig sites. The planet's atmosphere is also breathable by humans.
Peri was a popular hiding place for a number of anti-Confederate insurgency groups and subsequently became the focus of Operation Clean Sweep during the winter of 2616.
Poppy Castro and Stefan Pitt both studied and worked on Peri.
