Parks' fleet attempted to approach the planet in late 2624, during the search for Jason Zackaria. They were driven back by fierce opposition and had their first encounter with malfunctioning Pandoran soldiers, though they did not realise this until several days later. Hyanik remained one of the most strongly defended Pandoran occupied planets in the Empire.

Following the end of the war, the remaining Pandoran fleet retreated to the core Mitikas systems, including returning to Krasst. The final recorded live Pandoran was shot dead in the city of Turl, in 2628.
