David Porter is a starship navigator, working for the Independent Secret Service. He possesses a rather strange sense of humour and often makes self-deprecating jokes about himself, for the amusement of others. He earned the nickname "Joker".

 

 

The Honour of the Knights [Toggle Spoilers]

Porter was serving as the helmsman aboard the Bondsman when it journeyed to the Mitikas Empire to perform final intelligence gathering and attacks on key installations used by the Pandoran army. He was horribly burned when his navigation console exploded in front of him, following an attack on the Bondsman by Pandoran forces. Natalia Grace attempted to take the man with her, but he died before she was able to get him into the escape pod.
