Along with their mother, Matthew and Luke were transferred to Sol as the Pandoran fleet closed in on Sol. The two boys came to the White Knights' final meal together, the first time that any of the team (aside from Chaz) had seen the boys.

Unlike his brother, who was quite timid, Matthew was excited to see his father and the White Knights. He referred to Estelle as "the bossy one", recognising her from the photos that Chaz had sent to Vanessa. He requested that he and Luke be given beans on toast to eat for their meal together.
