Goddard was undergoing starfighter training in Sol at the outbreak of the Pandoran War. He subsequently took part in battles in the Antomis and Mace systems, being transferred to the Iron Patriots, fighting against forces from the Kingdom of Tzac, as well as assisting in the capture of squadron commanders. He was directly responsible for disabling Empress Christabel's shuttle as she attempted to flee Mace, after the allied force had driven her from her palace on Tzac itself.
