Jake Brookes is a professional football and the on/off boyfriend of Susan Taylor. The two have been dating for six years. It has been speculated in the past that Jake has hit Susan, which might explain their frequent break ups.

In December 2617, Brookes became engaged to Susan Taylor, much to the dismay of the Taylor family.

 

 

The Attribute of the Strong [Toggle Spoilers]

Jake maintained his engagement with Susan, though the two did not marry. Jake was killed on 24th August, 2622, along with Susan and the rest of the Taylor family when the Calypso's Fancy was destroyed in a Pandoran attack on the Rex system.
