Homestead was one of several warships to be lost to the Pandoran forces when the original crew attempted to surrender themselves and the vessel to the enemy fleet. The surrender was not accepted, the crewing being murdered, and the vessel seized and assimilated into the fleet.

A few days later, the allied forces faced off against the Homestead (and its brother-in-arms, the Farrier) in combat, when the Pandoran forces deployed it against them.
