Earth was the only major planet (including those of the Mitikas Empire) to not be directly affected by the Pandorans' campaign. As the Pandoran fleet began to attack Helios, many people began to flee to the inner system of the Confederation, most heading for Sol where they believed they would be safest.

After destroying Sky, Earth became the Pandorans' next target, the fleet arriving in Sol on the morning of 26th December, 2624. The battle lasted only a few hours, the Pandoran fleet retreating after Dragon was destroyed and the battleship failed to fire its main cannon at Earth.
